Ár Bhaile(Integration Program) is dedicated to supporting the integration of female International Protection Applicants (IPAs) by providing accessible information on Irish culture, systems, and services. The initiative addresses the specific needs of women who encounter heightened barriers to integration, including mothers of young children, women with limited proficiency in English, and survivors of Domestic, Sexual, and Gender-Based Violence (DSGBV) or other forms of trauma.
The project is structured around two principal components:- “Irish Systems and Services” and “Cultural Exchanges.”
Irish Systems and Services:-
This component delivers both in-person and online information sessions designed to familiarise participants with Irish administrative, social, and public service systems, and to enhance their capacity to navigate these services effectively. The delivery of these sessions is underpinned by strategic partnerships with statutory agencies and relevant community organisations, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and accessibility of information.
Cultural Exchanges:-
This component promotes integration through interactive and artistic activities that foster cross-cultural understanding and social inclusion. These sessions aim to facilitate meaningful engagement with local communities, reduce social isolation, and strengthen participants’ sense of belonging in Irish society.
Through this approach, Ár Bhaile program endeavours to empower women with the knowledge, skills, and connections necessary to participate fully in Irish community , while recognising and responding sensitively to their diverse needs and experiences.
